HIP HOP

Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and refers to dance styles developed from several cultures including jazz rock, tap, and American and Latino cultures. In this class students will dance to their favourite tracks, learn fun routines focusing on Hip Hop techniques such as popping and locking, as well as break dancing.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

Using drama techniques as a foundation students will cover a range of Public Speaking elements from impromptu speech writing, improvisational techniques and debate while securing a holistic understanding of voice and speech production, breath control and the importance of modulation and intonation to create and deliver colourful vocal performances. Students will have the option of entering for their Speaking in Public LAMDA Examination in Spring 2021.

LATIN & BALLROOM

Want to learn how to Salsa, do the Foxtrot and dive into the Cha-Cha? This is the dance course for you. Our specialist Latin & Ballroom teacher will introduce you to the basics of each of these popular movement styles. Featuring both solo and partner work students will learn the foundations of these techniques and cover exciting movement repertoire and choreography.

BALLET

Ballet is the foundation to all dance disciplines creating elegance, line and poise with each movement. These structured classes develop students’ physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of movements and musical styles to create dynamic, colourful performances. The syllabi prepare students for a successful transition to RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Examinations and other dance genres at higher levels.
